David Benjamin Blower is a writer of theological books, a prolific musician, and an activist from Birmingham, UK. His writing, like his music, is characterised by his political and religious vision and apocalyptic imagination.
Come for readings, thoughts and discussion around David’s new book, Sympathy for Jonah: about the legendary prophet who was swallowed by the Great Fish. We will discuss the psychology of whale ingestion and the politics of enemy-love in a time of imperialism, terror and mass displacement. There will also be songs from David’s folk musical of the story of Jonah and the whale.
